Have you ever gotten a gift that wasn’t what you wanted or something you’ll never use? I have, many times, but there’s one thing that always comes to mind when this happens, an old quote you’ve probably heard before, “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” According to a site I found which explains this quote it means a gift should be appreciated for the thought and spirit behind it, not according to its value.
(Learn the origin of the “Gift Horse” quote.)

I bring this up because Students that visit Morningside College will sometimes receive a small gift. (I’m not going to spoil it!) But just remember that no matter what you think of it… “Don’t look a gift horse, or in this case a Morningside Mustang, in the mouth. :)
Meet Jen Jauron

She mainly works with students from the Sioux City area, but also works with students from Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. She not only works with students but has two other very important roles in our Office of Admissions.

Jen is also in charge of purchasing some of our marketing materials for the Admissions Office; the gifts that we give away to our visitors. So if you like your gift you can thank her because she picked it out, and if you didn’t… just remember the story above. :)
