Tomorrow afternoon our campus will be abuzz with about 70 prospective students and their families attending our second Scholarship Weekend of the 2010-2011 school year. Our first Scholarship Weekend, which took place in mid-November, was a huge success, and our Office of Admissions has been hard at work these past couple of weeks to ensure this weekend will be one our guests won’t soon forget.
What’s so great about a Scholarship Weekend?
EVERYTHING! But it also happens to be our prospective students chance to audition and interview for Morningside College scholarships, visit with our faculty and staff, and meet the current students here at Morningside. Oh yeah, did I mention over half of the students who attend our Scholarship Weekends also choose to spend the night on campus with a current student! Not every college is able to do that for their prospective students, but we are fortunate we have students who are willing to help us with this endeavor. Long story short, attending a Scholarship Weekend is the single best way to get a taste of what the Morningside College experience is all about. For the full experience though, you’ll need to enroll here. :)
See you soon!
For those of you coming tomorrow or Saturday, we can’t wait to share the Morningside College experience with you, and wish you luck with any interviews or auditions you may have. Remember to contact your Admissions Counselor if you have any questions, and you may also check out our tentative schedule of events if you would like a reminder of what’s all going on this weekend.
Would you like to attend a Scholarship Weekend?

Thank You and a special message for mom and dad…
We really look forward to this weekend, and would like to thank all the students, faculty, staff, and alumni for their help. Our Scholarship Weekends wouldn’t be possible without them, and the dedication these people have for our college and it’s mission is the main reason why Morningside continues to grow into one of the best Private Colleges in the Midwest.
Finally, I mentioned how dedicated our students, faculty, and staff are to Morningside College, but I’d also like to take a moment and congratulate my parents on something they’re both dedicated to… each other. Today marks their 38th Wedding Anniversary, and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them. My mom is sort of new to Facebook, but she managed to post a nice profile picture and status update today (see below). Congrats and I love you both.

Profile Picture: My mom, Connie, and my dad, Jerry. My dad's a lucky man, and my mom... is a very patient woman. :)
This will be my last post for the week so I hope you have a great weekend.
As always, thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
The Mside Admissions Guy
